Google Ads for garden designers

Google Ads management for garden designers, for clicks that turn into calls.

Ads show quickly whether your website converts, and money spent sending clicks to a weak page is lost. That is why the site comes first and the ads come second.

For garden designers

What it means in your trade.

Ads rarely suit a design-only practice. The searches are few, often for inspiration rather than a designer, and a commission is decided over weeks. Where they can work is for design-and-build firms with capacity, bidding on garden designer and garden design service terms in a tight area, and excluding ideas, software, courses, jobs, free and cheap.

If you try them, send the click to a page on your design process with fees explained, so casual browsers leave without costing you a consultation. Track enquiries before judging the spend.

What is included

Exactly what you get.

Campaigns built around what people search when they are ready to buy

Negative keywords, so your budget goes on the searches that turn into work

A landing page that matches the ad, so visitors land on the offer they clicked

Conversion tracking, so you judge the campaign on enquiries

Budget set to what the enquiries are worth to you

Not included. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is separate from anything Coltura charges. If your site is not ready to convert, we will say so before taking the work.

Built for garden designers

Made for your trade.

Every trade asks something different of its website. For a garden designer, these are the parts built in.

  • Project pages that pair the drawn plan with the finished garden and a short account of the brief.
  • A process page running from first consultation to handover, with what the client receives at each stage.
  • A fees section that explains how consultations and design work are charged, in whatever terms you choose to publish.
  • An enquiry form that asks about the garden, the brief, a budget band and when the client hopes to build.
  • Portfolio images compressed and sized properly so the site stays quick on a phone.
  • A section on the landscapers you work with and how the build is handed over or overseen.

What it costs

£1,400, one-off.

The site comes first, at £1,400 one-off. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is never marked up.

The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions

The ones that come up.

What should I budget?

Work backwards from what one job is worth. For example, if a typical job nets you £800 and one enquiry in three becomes a job, each enquiry is worth more than a business selling £40 services can spend. For some trades, ads do not pay at all, and we will tell you.

Can I run ads before rebuilding the site?

You can, but you will usually be buying traffic for a page that loses it. A free Growth Audit will tell you which of the two is costing you more.

My gardens take years to mature. How do I show that?

Return to gardens you designed and photograph them a year or two after planting, then again later. Show the stages on the same project page with dates. Clients understand that planting grows, but seeing it happen on your own projects is more persuasive than a single perfect summer photograph.

Do I need a separate website if I also run a build service?

One site works, with separate routes through it: one for clients who want a design to take to their own builder, and one for those who want you to handle everything. Each gets its own explanation and form, so nobody has to work out for themselves which service they need.

Should I publish articles about planting and design?

A few well-chosen ones help, if they reflect how you think. Pieces on designing for shade, planting on clay or choosing trees for a small garden show your knowledge and give people something to find when they are researching. Keep them few and good.

Find out what your website is costing you.

A free Growth Audit, done by hand: a written, prioritised audit of your website, with the three fixes worth making first. It is yours to keep.

We take on a limited number of builds at once, so there is usually a short wait before a new one starts. Once yours starts, it is about 14 working days from agreed direction to launch.
