Google Ads for tree surgeons

Google Ads management for tree surgeons, for clicks that turn into calls.

Ads show quickly whether your website converts, and money spent sending clicks to a weak page is lost. That is why the site comes first and the ads come second.

For tree surgeons

What it means in your trade.

Ads can make sense for tree surgery, especially for higher-value planned work like felling and reductions, and for storm work if you can respond quickly. Bid on service terms within the area you really cover. Exclude jobs, training, courses, chainsaw, equipment hire, salary and DIY terms, which pull in people who will never book a tree surgeon.

Point storm ads at a page with a tap-to-call number and a note on how soon you can attend, and planned-work ads at a page with a photo upload form. Turn storm campaigns off when you cannot take more.

What is included

Exactly what you get.

Campaigns built around what people search when they are ready to buy

Negative keywords, so your budget goes on the searches that turn into work

A landing page that matches the ad, so visitors land on the offer they clicked

Conversion tracking, so you judge the campaign on enquiries

Budget set to what the enquiries are worth to you

Not included. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is separate from anything Coltura charges. If your site is not ready to convert, we will say so before taking the work.

Built for tree surgeons

Made for your trade.

Every trade asks something different of its website. For a tree surgeon, these are the parts built in.

  • A page for each type of work you want more of, such as reductions, felling, stump grinding and hedge work, each explained in plain English.
  • A qualifications and insurance section with your certificates and cover, placed where people look before calling.
  • A page explaining how you check for protected trees and handle applications to the council.
  • An enquiry form that accepts photos of the tree and asks about access and nearby buildings.
  • Your Google Business Profile set up with tree service categories, a service area and photos of finished jobs.
  • A separate, prominent route for urgent storm damage, with a tap-to-call number.

What it costs

£1,400, one-off.

The site comes first, at £1,400 one-off. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is never marked up.

The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions

The ones that come up.

What should I budget?

Work backwards from what one job is worth. For example, if a typical job nets you £800 and one enquiry in three becomes a job, each enquiry is worth more than a business selling £40 services can spend. For some trades, ads do not pay at all, and we will tell you.

Can I run ads before rebuilding the site?

You can, but you will usually be buying traffic for a page that loses it. A free Growth Audit will tell you which of the two is costing you more.

How should the site deal with trees on a neighbour's land?

A short, general explanation helps: why you need to know who owns the tree, what an owner can usually do about overhanging branches, and that you check for protection before starting. It saves explaining it on every call and shows care. Keep it general and suggest people take advice where there is a dispute.

Do I need a page for commercial clients?

If you want contracts with schools, housing associations, managing agents or councils, yes. They look for insurance levels, qualifications, method statements, risk assessments and an accreditation such as the Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor scheme if you hold it. A page that sets these out lets a buyer shortlist you without chasing documents.

When does the website need to be at its most current?

Late autumn and winter suit much pruning and felling, storms bring urgent work without warning, and spring and summer bring questions about nesting birds and hedge cutting. Keeping the site current through the year means each of those moments finds up-to-date information rather than a page written for another season.
