Local SEO for event caterers

SEO for event caterers, so the people nearby find you.

Local search is mostly groundwork. Google needs to understand what you do, where you do it, and that other people vouch for you. Your site also has to be fast enough to be worth ranking.

For event caterers

What it means in your trade.

People planning events search by event type, style and venue: wedding caterer, hog roast for a wedding, canapés and bowl food, corporate event catering, street food for a party, and venue names with catering. The groundwork is a page for each event type and service style you offer, venue pages backed by real events, sample menus as readable text, and a Google Business Profile set up for the area you travel to.

Reviews from couples and planners, ideally mentioning the venue and the event, help both people and search engines understand what you do. What is realistic is being clearly described for the events and venues you actually cover. Specific pages give search engines something specific to match.

Not included: paid links, ranking promises or impression-count reports. We report on enquiries.

Built for event caterers

Made for your trade.

Every trade asks something different of its website. For an event caterer, these are the parts built in.

  • Pages for each event type you want more of, such as weddings, corporate events and private parties, with sample menus and guide prices.
  • Venue pages for places you regularly work, built from your own photos and notes of events there.
  • An enquiry form that asks for date, venue, guest numbers, service style and dietary needs.
  • A clear account of what comes with the food: staff, crockery, linen, bar, setup and clearing.
  • A way to request a tasting, with how it works and whether it is charged.
  • Structured information about event types, areas covered and reviews, so search engines and AI assistants can describe the business accurately.

What it costs

Included in the rebuild.

There is no separate SEO invoice. The groundwork is part of the £1,400 rebuild, one-off, in about 14 working days.

The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions

The ones that come up.

How long before SEO does anything?

The technical work lands immediately; rankings move over weeks to months. Be wary of any promise of page one within a month.

Do you do SEO as a monthly retainer?

The groundwork is part of the rebuild. Ongoing care at £149 a month keeps it maintained. There is no separate SEO retainer.

Can people book a tasting through the website?

Yes. A tasting page can explain when tastings run, who they are for, whether there is a charge and whether it is refunded on booking, with a short form or a link to your calendar. Because the tasting is often the point where people decide, making it easy to request is one of the most useful things the site can do.

How do we show what is included beyond the food?

A simple section on each event page listing what comes as standard and what is extra: serving staff, chefs on site, crockery and cutlery, linen, a bar, setup and clearing, waste removal. Planners compare quotes line by line, and being clear stops you looking more expensive than a caterer whose quote leaves those things out.

Do wedding directories replace having our own website?

Directories can bring enquiries, but they show you beside every competitor and control how your work is presented. Your website is where you can show full events, explain your approach, publish sample menus and take enquiries with the details you need. Most couples who find you in a directory look up your own site before they get in touch.
