Local SEO for security services

SEO for security services, so the people nearby find you.

Local search is mostly groundwork. Google needs to understand what you do, where you do it, and that other people vouch for you. Your site also has to be fast enough to be worth ranking.

For security services

What it means in your trade.

Security buyers search by service and place: security guards plus a town, mobile patrol, keyholding service, alarm response, door supervisors, construction site security, event security company. Applicants search too, and those searches need to land on the careers section rather than a sales page. The groundwork is a page per service, a clear careers section, area pages only for places you actively cover, and a Google Business Profile whose service areas and hours reflect your control room.

Reviews from clients describing reliability, reporting and response carry more weight than volume. Structured information about licensing, services and areas helps search engines and AI tools describe you correctly. Where that appears is not something anyone can promise; the groundwork is what can be controlled.

What is included

Exactly what you get.

Technical foundations: speed, mobile, crawlable structure, proper headings

Schema markup so your services, area and reviews are machine-readable

Google Business Profile set up and matched to the site

Pages for the places you actually cover

Titles and descriptions written for the person searching

Not included: paid links, ranking promises or impression-count reports. We report on enquiries.

Built for security services

Made for your trade.

Every trade asks something different of its website. For a security service, these are the parts built in.

  • Separate client and careers routes from the homepage, each with its own form and inbox.
  • An urgent cover line and short form on every page, asking for the site, start time and number of officers.
  • Service pages for guarding, mobile patrol, keyholding and alarm response, door supervision and event security, as they apply to you.
  • A licensing and vetting page stating your approved contractor status and licence types, linked to the public register where possible.
  • Sector pages written from the client's situation, with anonymised examples used only with permission.
  • Your Google Business Profile set up with accurate service areas and hours for your control room.

What it costs

Included in the rebuild.

There is no separate SEO invoice. The groundwork is part of the £1,400 rebuild, one-off, in about 14 working days.

The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions

The ones that come up.

How long before SEO does anything?

The technical work lands immediately; rankings move over weeks to months. Be wary of any promise of page one within a month.

Do you do SEO as a monthly retainer?

The groundwork is part of the rebuild. Ongoing care at £149 a month keeps it maintained. There is no separate SEO retainer.

Can the site handle urgent requests out of hours?

The site can make the urgent route obvious on every page, with a number your control room answers and a short form that asks for the essentials. Form submissions can be copied to an on-call address or phone. How fast the request is answered depends on your cover, so the site states your real out-of-hours arrangements.

We run events and venue work as well as static guarding. Is that one site?

Yes, with separate sections. Event organisers and licensees read for different things from a facilities manager: staffing ratios, search procedures, radio communication and briefing, rather than patrol reports and keyholding. Each section has its own pages and enquiry form, while your licensing and company details are shared across the site.

Can the site show the reports clients receive?

Yes, with a sample. A redacted patrol report, an example incident log or a screenshot of a check-in record shows a buyer exactly what they will get. It is one of the clearest ways to separate a professional provider from a competitor who only lists services, and it answers a question buyers often do not think to ask until later.
