Local SEO for interior designers

SEO for interior designers, so the people nearby find you.

Local search is mostly groundwork. Google needs to understand what you do, where you do it, and that other people vouch for you. Your site also has to be fast enough to be worth ranking.

For interior designers

What it means in your trade.

Interior design clients search by service and sometimes by style: interior designer near me, interior design consultation, whole house interior design, e-design service, period property interior designer, often with a town. The groundwork is a page for each service you offer, project pages naming the type of property and the area, and a clear statement of where you work in person.

The Google Business Profile helps with nearby searches, so it needs the right category, project photos and reviews from clients. Reviews are harder to gather with a few large projects a year, so ask every client at the reveal. Realistically, most design work still comes through referrals and social media; search groundwork adds a steady second route.

What is included

Exactly what you get.

Technical foundations: speed, mobile, crawlable structure, proper headings

Schema markup so your services, area and reviews are machine-readable

Google Business Profile set up and matched to the site

Pages for the places you actually cover

Titles and descriptions written for the person searching

Not included: paid links, ranking promises or impression-count reports. We report on enquiries.

Built for interior designers

Made for your trade.

Every trade asks something different of its website. For an interior designer, these are the parts built in.

  • Project pages that tell each story: the brief, the constraint, the key decisions and the finished result, with before shots and plans where you have them.
  • A page explaining how you charge and how procurement works, with or without figures.
  • A consultation enquiry form asking about rooms, the type of project, timing and a budget band.
  • Separate pages for local full-service projects and any remote or e-design service you offer.
  • Your Google Business Profile set up for the studio, with project photos and the areas you work in.
  • Tracking on enquiries and calls, so you can see which pages and referral sources lead to consultations.

What it costs

Included in the rebuild.

There is no separate SEO invoice. The groundwork is part of the £1,400 rebuild, one-off, in about 14 working days.

The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions

The ones that come up.

How long before SEO does anything?

The technical work lands immediately; rankings move over weeks to months. Be wary of any promise of page one within a month.

Do you do SEO as a monthly retainer?

The groundwork is part of the rebuild. Ongoing care at £149 a month keeps it maintained. There is no separate SEO retainer.

Do I need a website if clients find me on social media?

Yes. Social media shows your style, but people usually check the website before hiring you, to see complete projects, understand the process and find out how you charge. Without that, a follower has no easy way to move from admiring your work to booking a consultation. The website makes that step simple.

Should I offer a remote design service on my website?

If you offer one, give it a page of its own. Remote clients want to know what they receive, how the process works without a visit, and how it is priced. Keeping it separate from local full-service work lets each page speak to the right client and reach people well beyond the area you can visit in person.

Should I show press features and awards?

Yes, where they are genuine and recent. A magazine feature or an industry award reassures clients who are about to commit a large sum. Show them with the publication name and date, link to the article where possible, and place them near the enquiry route rather than on a separate page nobody visits.
