Local SEO for joiners & carpenters

SEO for joiners & carpenters, so the people nearby find you.

Local search is mostly groundwork. Google needs to understand what you do, where you do it, and that other people vouch for you. Your site also has to be fast enough to be worth ranking.

For joiners & carpenters

What it means in your trade.

Joinery customers type the object they want: oak staircase, alcove cupboards, fitted wardrobes, sash window repair, bespoke front door, often with a town name or near me. The groundwork is a page for each of those you want more of, a short service-area page for the places you regularly travel to, and correct titles and descriptions so each page says clearly what it is about.

The Google Business Profile carries the broad near-me searches, so it needs the right primary category, finished-piece photos added as jobs complete, and reviews that name what was made. Realistically, general carpentry searches are crowded and slow to move, while specialist pages face fewer competitors and can reach customers further away. That groundwork makes steady progress possible; it does not buy a position.

Built for joiners & carpenters

Made for your trade.

Every trade asks something different of its website. For a joiners & carpenter, these are the parts built in.

  • A page for each kind of joinery you want more of, such as staircases, fitted furniture, doors and period repairs, each with the areas you cover.
  • A gallery arranged by type of work, with every project labelled with the timber, the finish and the room it went in.
  • A commission form asking for rough sizes, a photo of the space and a target date, plus a shorter form for builders booking site work.
  • Your current lead time placed beside the enquiry form, worded so it can be changed with a single message.
  • Your Google Business Profile claimed or tidied, with categories that match the work and the new site linked from it.
  • Calls and form submissions tracked as events, so you can see which pages the enquiries came through.

What it costs

Included in the rebuild.

There is no separate SEO invoice. The groundwork is part of the £1,400 rebuild, one-off, in about 14 working days.

The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions

The ones that come up.

How long before SEO does anything?

The technical work lands immediately; rankings move over weeks to months. Be wary of any promise of page one within a month.

Do you do SEO as a monthly retainer?

The groundwork is part of the rebuild. Ongoing care at £149 a month keeps it maintained. There is no separate SEO retainer.

Should I list the towns I travel to for bigger commissions?

Yes, and be honest about the difference. Many joiners cover a tight radius for small jobs but will travel much further for a staircase or a full run of fitted furniture. Saying that on the site stops distant customers ruling themselves out, and a page for your main specialist work can mention the wider area without pretending you have a base in every town.

How do I stop the site bringing in small jobs I have no room for?

Say what you take on and what you do not, near the top and again beside the form. If you have a minimum job size, state it politely. Ask on the form what the job is and when it is needed. People looking for someone to fix a door this week tend to go elsewhere once they see that, and the enquiries you do get are much closer to the work you want.

Can I keep my current web address when the site is rebuilt?

Yes. The domain stays yours and moves across at launch, and any old pages that are earning visits are redirected to their replacements so that value is not thrown away. Forms and phone links are tested before and after going live, and anything that does not work as built in the first month is fixed without charge.
