Google Ads for upholsterers

Google Ads management for upholsterers, for clicks that turn into calls.

Ads show quickly whether your website converts, and money spent sending clicks to a weak page is lost. That is why the site comes first and the ads come second.

For upholsterers

What it means in your trade.

For most upholsterers ads come later, because plenty of searches are for minor repairs and a click can cost a meaningful share of the work it leads to. They may be worth testing for higher-value work, such as commercial seating or full sofa reupholstery, over a limited area.

Exclude fabric shop, DIY, how to, courses and job-seeking terms. Send any campaign to the matching page with a photo-based quote form. Call and form tracking must be live first, so the spend is judged on quote requests and jobs.

What is included

Exactly what you get.

Campaigns built around what people search when they are ready to buy

Negative keywords, so your budget goes on the searches that turn into work

A landing page that matches the ad, so visitors land on the offer they clicked

Conversion tracking, so you judge the campaign on enquiries

Budget set to what the enquiries are worth to you

Not included. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is separate from anything Coltura charges. If your site is not ready to convert, we will say so before taking the work.

Built for upholsterers

Made for your trade.

Every trade asks something different of its website. For an upholsterer, these are the parts built in.

  • A before and after gallery grouped by type of work, such as antique restoration, modern re-covers and commercial seating.
  • A photo-based quote form asking for pictures from several angles, rough measurements, the state of the seat and a postcode.
  • A fabric page covering pattern books, customer-supplied fabric, typical quantities and fire safety requirements.
  • Collection and delivery details shown high on each page, with the area you collect from and any charge.
  • A page for commercial and hospitality upholstery, with relevant projects and a direct enquiry route.
  • Your Google Business Profile set up for the workshop or collection area, and tracking on calls and forms.

What it costs

£1,400, one-off.

The site comes first, at £1,400 one-off. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is never marked up.

The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions

The ones that come up.

What should I budget?

Work backwards from what one job is worth. For example, if a typical job nets you £800 and one enquiry in three becomes a job, each enquiry is worth more than a business selling £40 services can spend. For some trades, ads do not pay at all, and we will tell you.

Can I run ads before rebuilding the site?

You can, but you will usually be buying traffic for a page that loses it. A free Growth Audit will tell you which of the two is costing you more.

Is it wise to turn away pieces that are not worth doing?

Usually, yes. Saying openly that a budget sofa with a chipboard frame will cost more to redo than to replace loses you a small job and earns trust in everything else you say. Setting out which pieces repay the work, such as solid hardwood frames, antiques or furniture with family history, helps the right customers see the value first.

Is commercial upholstery worth a separate page?

If you want that work, yes. A pub or restaurant owner needs hard-wearing contract cloth, the job fitted around trading hours and a firm date for getting the seats back. A page showing booths or bench seating you have already done proves you can cope with the volume, and the same venue tends to call again when the seating wears.

How should I show my collection and delivery service?

High up on each page, with the villages and towns you collect from and whether there is a charge. Very few people can get a three-seater into a car, so this question comes before price. If pieces can also be dropped off, add the workshop address, the hours someone is there and where to park or unload.
