Google Ads for opticians

Google Ads management for opticians, for clicks that turn into calls.

Ads show quickly whether your website converts, and money spent sending clicks to a weak page is lost. That is why the site comes first and the ads come second.

For opticians

What it means in your trade.

Bidding on eye test near me pits an independent against national budgets and rarely suits. Paid search makes more sense for a specialist service, or a brand you stock that the chains do not: a dry eye clinic, myopia management, specialist contact lenses or a designer frame range. Exclude searches for free eye tests, jobs, courses, online glasses, cheap frames and the chains' brand names.

Each advert needs its own landing page with the fee, what the appointment involves and a booking route. Advert copy falls under the CAP Code, so describe services rather than promise outcomes. Track appointments booked.

What is included

Exactly what you get.

Campaigns built around what people search when they are ready to buy

Negative keywords, so your budget goes on the searches that turn into work

A landing page that matches the ad, so visitors land on the offer they clicked

Conversion tracking, so you judge the campaign on enquiries

Budget set to what the enquiries are worth to you

Not included. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is separate from anything Coltura charges. If your site is not ready to convert, we will say so before taking the work.

Built for opticians

Made for your trade.

Every trade asks something different of its website. For an optician, these are the parts built in.

  • A clear explanation of NHS and private examinations, eligibility and fees, written for the UK nation you practise in.
  • A page for each specialist service you want more of, with who it suits, what the appointment involves and the fee.
  • Frame brand pages with photos from your own shelves and a price range, checked against each supplier's rules on images.
  • Team profiles with GOC registration for optometrists and dispensing opticians.
  • Online booking linked from your practice system, and your Google Business Profile completed with accurate categories and hours.
  • Tracking on bookings, calls and enquiries, so you can see which pages lead to appointments.

What it costs

£1,400, one-off.

The site comes first, at £1,400 one-off. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is never marked up.

The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions

The ones that come up.

What should I budget?

Work backwards from what one job is worth. For example, if a typical job nets you £800 and one enquiry in three becomes a job, each enquiry is worth more than a business selling £40 services can spend. For some trades, ads do not pay at all, and we will tell you.

Can I run ads before rebuilding the site?

You can, but you will usually be buying traffic for a page that loses it. A free Growth Audit will tell you which of the two is costing you more.

Can the site show the equipment we have invested in?

Yes, and it is worth doing. Explain each piece in plain words: what it does in an examination, who it is used for and whether it costs extra. Avoid suggesting any scan will catch every problem; describe it as part of a thorough examination instead. Real photos of your own consulting room help far more than manufacturer images.

We have two practices. How should the website handle that?

One site with a page per practice: address, hours, parking, team, services and booking for each, connected to its own Google Business Profile. Patients find the right door, and you keep one brand and one set of fees to maintain. If services differ between the two, each page says so plainly.

What happens to the site when frame collections change?

Frame brand pages need new photos as collections change each season, and ranges you stop stocking need removing. On Growth Care you send the new photos and details, and the pages are updated within a fair monthly allowance. A brand page two collections out of date sends people in for frames you no longer have.

Find out what your website is costing you.

A free Growth Audit, done by hand: a written, prioritised audit of your website, with the three fixes worth making first. It is yours to keep.

We take on a limited number of builds at once, so there is usually a short wait before a new one starts. Once yours starts, it is about 14 working days from agreed direction to launch.
