Google Ads for roofers

Google Ads management for roofers, for clicks that turn into calls.

Ads show quickly whether your website converts, and money spent sending clicks to a weak page is lost. That is why the site comes first and the ads come second.

For roofers

What it means in your trade.

Ads can work for roofers because urgent repair searches come from people ready to book, but those clicks are contested and attract lead sellers too. Bid on specific repair and replacement searches within your working area, and exclude DIY, roofing jobs, materials suppliers, courses and searches for tiles or felt to buy.

High winds can bring a sudden burst of searches, so being able to switch campaigns on and off quickly matters. The ad should send people to a repair page with a tap-to-call button and photo upload, because someone with an emergency will not dig around.

What is included

Exactly what you get.

Campaigns built around what people search when they are ready to buy

Negative keywords, so your budget goes on the searches that turn into work

A landing page that matches the ad, so visitors land on the offer they clicked

Conversion tracking, so you judge the campaign on enquiries

Budget set to what the enquiries are worth to you

Not included. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is separate from anything Coltura charges. If your site is not ready to convert, we will say so before taking the work.

Built for roofers

Made for your trade.

Every trade asks something different of its website. For a roofer, these are the parts built in.

  • Separate pages for repairs, re-roofs, flat roofs and roofline work, each explaining what the job involves and what affects the cost.
  • A leak and storm-damage route with a tap-to-call button and a form for uploading photos of the problem.
  • Your insurance, trade body membership and any warranty explained in plain words, including what it covers and who backs it.
  • A gallery organised by roof type, with captions describing the fault and the fix.
  • Company details, a base or clear service area and named people, set out so a wary homeowner can check who you are.
  • Your Google Business Profile set up with the right categories, photos of real roofs and the areas you cover.

What it costs

£1,400, one-off.

The site comes first, at £1,400 one-off. Ad spend is paid to Google directly and is never marked up.

The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions

The ones that come up.

What should I budget?

Work backwards from what one job is worth. For example, if a typical job nets you £800 and one enquiry in three becomes a job, each enquiry is worth more than a business selling £40 services can spend. For some trades, ads do not pay at all, and we will tell you.

Can I run ads before rebuilding the site?

You can, but you will usually be buying traffic for a page that loses it. A free Growth Audit will tell you which of the two is costing you more.

Can the website help with storm damage insurance work?

It can explain how you help homeowners whose damage may be covered by buildings insurance: photos of the damage, a written report and a quote the insurer can assess. You cannot promise a claim will be accepted, and the page should say so. This kind of page is useful after high winds, when people are unsure whether to call their insurer or a roofer first.

Is it worth showing prices on a roofing website?

Full re-roofs vary too much for fixed figures, but ranges for common small jobs, such as replacing a few slipped tiles or rebedding a ridge, help filter enquiries. Explaining what drives the cost, such as scaffolding, access, roof size and materials, prepares people for your quote and makes the cheapest verbal price less likely to become their benchmark.

Will a new website mean more roofing jobs?

That depends on the season and the market as much as the site. What a rebuild controls is how a homeowner who lands on your site judges you: whether they can see relevant work, understand what you offer and reach you easily in an emergency. Call and form tracking then shows which pages produce enquiries, so decisions about ads or new pages rest on evidence.
