Local SEO for roofers

SEO for roofers, so the people nearby find you.

Local search is mostly groundwork. Google needs to understand what you do, where you do it, and that other people vouch for you. Your site also has to be fast enough to be worth ranking.

For roofers

What it means in your trade.

Roofing searches split into urgent and planned: “emergency roofer”, “roof leak repair” and “slipped tiles repair” on one side, “new roof cost”, “flat roof replacement” and “EPDM roof” on the other. The groundwork is a page for each, with the areas you cover stated clearly, photos of real jobs and plain explanations of what the work involves.

The Google Business Profile carries much of the local visibility, so it is set up as a service-area business or around your yard, with categories for roofing and any roofline work you do. Steady reviews that mention the type of job help. Realistically you are up against lead-generation sites, and this takes months to build: it is groundwork that builds slowly.

Built for roofers

Made for your trade.

Every trade asks something different of its website. For a roofer, these are the parts built in.

  • Separate pages for repairs, re-roofs, flat roofs and roofline work, each explaining what the job involves and what affects the cost.
  • A leak and storm-damage route with a tap-to-call button and a form for uploading photos of the problem.
  • Your insurance, trade body membership and any warranty explained in plain words, including what it covers and who backs it.
  • A gallery organised by roof type, with captions describing the fault and the fix.
  • Company details, a base or clear service area and named people, set out so a wary homeowner can check who you are.
  • Your Google Business Profile set up with the right categories, photos of real roofs and the areas you cover.

What it costs

Included in the rebuild.

There is no separate SEO invoice. The groundwork is part of the £1,400 rebuild, one-off, in about 14 working days.

The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions

The ones that come up.

How long before SEO does anything?

The technical work lands immediately; rankings move over weeks to months. Be wary of any promise of page one within a month.

Do you do SEO as a monthly retainer?

The groundwork is part of the rebuild. Ongoing care at £149 a month keeps it maintained. There is no separate SEO retainer.

Can the website help with storm damage insurance work?

It can explain how you help homeowners whose damage may be covered by buildings insurance: photos of the damage, a written report and a quote the insurer can assess. You cannot promise a claim will be accepted, and the page should say so. This kind of page is useful after high winds, when people are unsure whether to call their insurer or a roofer first.

Is it worth showing prices on a roofing website?

Full re-roofs vary too much for fixed figures, but ranges for common small jobs, such as replacing a few slipped tiles or rebedding a ridge, help filter enquiries. Explaining what drives the cost, such as scaffolding, access, roof size and materials, prepares people for your quote and makes the cheapest verbal price less likely to become their benchmark.

Will a new website mean more roofing jobs?

That depends on the season and the market as much as the site. What a rebuild controls is how a homeowner who lands on your site judges you: whether they can see relevant work, understand what you offer and reach you easily in an emergency. Call and form tracking then shows which pages produce enquiries, so decisions about ads or new pages rest on evidence.

A free Growth Audit, done by hand: a written, prioritised audit of your website, with the three fixes worth making first. It is yours to keep.
