Local SEO for glaziers
SEO for glaziers, so the people nearby find you.
Local search is mostly groundwork. Google needs to understand what you do, where you do it, and that other people vouch for you. Your site also has to be fast enough to be worth ranking.
For glaziers
What it means in your trade.
Glazing customers search by problem as much as by trade: glazier near me, emergency glazier, misted double glazing repair, replacement glass unit, uPVC door hinge repair, glass cut to size, shopfront glazing. The groundwork is a page for each of those you offer, a clear statement of the areas you cover, and opening hours kept identical on the site and the Google Business Profile.

The Google Business Profile carries most urgent searches, so it needs accurate hours, the right categories and reviews that mention what was fixed and how quickly. Realistic progress usually comes first on fault-specific terms, where fewer firms have a dedicated page, rather than on the broadest glazing searches.

Built for glaziers
Made for your trade.
Every trade asks something different of its website. For a glazier, these are the parts built in.
- A page for each common fault, such as misted units, broken panes, failed hinges and doors that will not lock, written around what the customer sees.
- An emergency section at the top of phone screens stating the hours and area you genuinely cover, with a button that dials you.
- A repair enquiry form with photo upload, so many jobs can be priced without a visit.
- A page for shops, offices and property managers covering response times, glass types and account invoicing.
- FENSA or CERTASS registration shown on the replacement window pages where it applies.
- Your Google Business Profile hours checked against the site, and tracking set up on calls and forms.
What it costs
Included in the rebuild.
There is no separate SEO invoice. The groundwork is part of the £1,400 rebuild, one-off, in about 14 working days.
The free Growth Audit comes first either way, so you find out what is actually wrong before you spend anything.

Questions
The ones that come up.
How long before SEO does anything?
The technical work lands immediately; rankings move over weeks to months. Be wary of any promise of page one within a month.
Do you do SEO as a monthly retainer?
The groundwork is part of the rebuild. Ongoing care at £149 a month keeps it maintained. There is no separate SEO retainer.
Should I explain toughened glass lead times?
Yes, briefly. Toughened glass cannot be cut after it has been toughened, so it has to be made to measure, which takes longer than cutting ordinary glass while the customer waits. A sentence explaining that on your cut-to-size page stops people expecting a same-day shower screen or table top, and makes the wait feel reasonable.
Is a separate page for commercial glazing worth it?
If you want that work, yes. Shops, offices, schools and letting agents want fast response times, the right glass for the building, and simple accounts. A page written for them, with a direct way to get set up as a supplier, is how that repeat work finds you, and it often outlasts one-off domestic jobs.
Where should FENSA or CERTASS appear on a glazier's website?
On the pages for replacing whole windows and doors, where building regulations apply and registration matters. Putting badges on glass-only repair pages adds little, because those customers care about speed and cost. Linking to your entry on the register lets a customer check it independently, which helps more than the logo on its own.
