The Macclesfield market
A market town with a working mix.
Macclesfield is a market town in Cheshire East on the western edge of the Peak District, built on the silk industry that its museums still document. Its station is on the West Coast Main Line, with direct trains to Manchester and London Euston, and AstraZeneca's manufacturing site at Hurdsfield is one of the town's large employers. The centre, around Chestergate, Mill Street and the Market Place by St Michael's Church, has a strong run of independent shops, cafés and bars, and the Treacle Market fills it on the last Sunday of the month.
Around the town, trades cover a wide and varied patch: the estates of Tytherington, Upton and Broken Cross, the villages of Prestbury, Bollington, Rainow and Gawsworth, and the hill country east towards the Peak District.
What that means for your website
Two kinds of business, two kinds of website.
A Macclesfield electrician and a Chestergate café need different things from a site. The trade needs service pages, a clear statement of coverage and a fast way to ask for a quote, because the customer usually has a problem to solve this week. The independent needs opening hours, a menu or range, events and the kind of photography that gets someone through the door on a Saturday.
Both need their details correct and consistent, because Google and AI assistants repeat whatever is written down. Opening hours that differ between the website and the Google Business Profile, or a service area that says “Macclesfield” when you actually cover half of the villages, are the small errors that cost enquiries. Our local search and AI readiness work is mostly about getting those facts stated once, clearly, in the right places.
Working with Coltura
The same scope and price for either.
Sole trader or shop, the scope is the same: a complete rebuild from £1,400, designed and written from scratch around your services, in about 14 working days. Before that, a free Growth Audit of the site you already have, back within 48 hours. Coltura is based in Didsbury in south Manchester and works remotely, so there is nothing to schedule around market day. Growth Care at £149 a month keeps opening hours, menus and prices up to date afterwards, if you want it.

FAQ
Questions from Macclesfield businesses
Answer the questions people have before they walk in: where you are, when you are open, what you sell or serve, and whether you take bookings or run events. Keep those facts identical on the website and your Google Business Profile. A clear page that is always correct beats an elaborate one that is out of date.
List the places you genuinely cover on the site, match them in your Google Business Profile service area, and give each main service its own page. A village gets a page of its own only where you have real work to show there.
Yes, and anywhere else. The work is done remotely, so the offer is the same in a village as in the town centre: a free Growth Audit first, then a rebuild from £1,400 if it makes sense.
For 30 days after launch we watch it closely, and anything that does not work the way it was built to work is fixed at no charge. After that, Growth Care is optional at £149 a month: hosting, backups, monitoring, content changes within a fair allowance and a plain-English monthly report.

A free Growth Audit™: a written, prioritised audit of your website, with the three fixes worth making first. You do not need a call to get it, and it is yours to keep.
We take on a limited number of builds at once, so there is usually a short wait before a new one starts. Once yours starts, it is about 14 working days from agreed direction to launch.
